am i korean? japanese? or chinese?

i had a good run today. i lasted for 4 hours. reached school at 2pm and left around 6pm. i meant a good run of studying. i love the com lab. i mean, besides the distraction of internet-connected newly acquired computers, the com lab is quite a serene place at the moment. no noisy sounding asian. no offense to asians. just one particular one. it's just this one dude from eee who keeps talking in an annoying tone. okay, can't help that his tone is annoying. but he keeps chattering away in the com lab during school term. but anyway, now everything's fine. the comp lab is quiet and fairly empty. just a few chinks, one or two indians and one minority white.. plus me. and lim.

it's weird that the com lab is taken over by asians. but if you look at the distribution of the world's population.. most mankind come from china and india. so they do have to end up somewhere. it makes sense that during this easter holiday, the brits go home, the europeans go home, but the chinese, indians and singaporeans remain. distance does matter. and also, level of hardworkingness probably. in singapore, we refer to the india-born-indians and the china-born-chinese (less suzi) as the diligent, pia to the max bunch. but of course, in london, singaporeans (less me) are the same as the ibi and the cbc. actually, singaporeans are freakin' hardworking, i would say. so anyway, i worked for about 4 hours, taking intermittent breaks (reading soccernet, playing puzzle bubble or bubble bobble or sth, and listening to lim's rants). and then, i went home, turned on the coolstreaming, saw pool played juve to a nil nil draw. and then saw psv squeeze past lyon in the penalty shootout. and then, i'm blogging away.

by the way, i'm proud to be asian. just watching park play for psv makes me proud. that small asian with golden brown hair pulling the strings with van bommel in midfield. how nice. reminds me of myself. being small and asian. so park, the south korean and lee, the other south korean, are in the semis against ac milan. speaking about south koreans, did you know that the largest community of south koreans outside korea itself is in new malden, london? yeah, no wonder suzi tells me it's korean town. i went there a few times with her and we got spoken to in korean. i suppose we can look korean. and then, i remember going to japan center in piccadilly circus and we got spoken to in japanese. hmm, but when we go to chinatown, we don't get spoken to in mandarin. they speak to us in english. interesting.. anyway, suzi insists that i'm not chinese in any way, but that i'm singaporean. tried explaining to her that singaporean's a nationality just like how british chinese are british and chinese at the same time. so i'm singaporean and chinese at the same time. of course, she understands, but she likes to wind me up by saying that i'm not really singaporean, but malaysian.

oh, and i just realised that i haven't really whined and kao bei a lot in my blog these days. what's happened to me.. i used to be so vocal and opinionated. now, i'm just a pussy cat. guess i know how to live life the easy way and not be bothered by little things. oh, by the way.. kaileng's birthday was really fun. especially the part where she stepped on a football and fell down. haha. the video's really funny! happy birthday kai.
